Pune Commerce College Cut-off drops almost a percent this year
According to the list that was declared at on Monday, 35,365 students had applied for commerce, 33,459 for science, and for arts there were 8,181 students.
Over 3,000 admissions in Pune have already been completed after the release of the Pune fyjc first merit list at pune.11thadmission.net.
The admissions in the first year junior college (FYJC) for Class XI, saw a slight increase in Pune merit list cut-offs, as compared to the last year’s cut-offs. Commerce stream has seen a decline in cut-offs by almost a percent. The marks of best of five subjects is counted for the cut-off. Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) held the highest cut-off at 476, a five-mark increase from the last year in Commerce. BMCC (unaided) had 469 cut off and the cut off at Garware College was 460.
Fergusson and Symbiosis College,Sir Parashurambhau college, Modern and Nowrosjee Wadia college are among the 5 colleges with highest cut-offs for the Arts stream in the city.
Fergusson College cut off increased to 479 from 477 cut off last year, Symbiosis College had 474 cut-off as compared to last year’s 470. Sir Parashurambhau college cut off was at 467, with a 8 mark increase from last year, i.e. 459. Modern college had the cut off at 457 and Nowrosjee Wadia college with 453.
City Pride Junior College, like the previous year, is at the top of the list with a cut off of 483 for the science stream. Their cut-off has decreased by 4 marks from 487 in comparison to previous year. City Pride has tied with Apte Prashala, for the science stream. Both colleges have been competing in terms of high cut-offs with each other for the past few years.
Fergusson College, in science has from 477 cut off last year, to 482 marks this year. Rajiv Gandhi e-learning school is at fourth position in the science faculty with 475 marks.
